NEW ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATION FOR 2022!
FTI has created a new qualification at a price point that enables a school to enrol every teacher
This is a 'Knowledge transfer’ weighted course, to enable a school whose appointed digital leaders are studying the Certificate/Diploma, to bring ALL the teachers along with them on the digital transformation journey
'That first step' is the most difficult for many teachers, and through live online interactive presentations & tutorials, teachers can take that first step in confidence with the guidance and support of internationally recognised education practitioners
We know how incredibly busy teachers are, and how important it is to reinforce the newly learned knowledge, therefore we have structured this Entry Level qualification in the following way:
- 6 online interactive sessions
- Includes self-paced online course (e-learning) to reinforce the learning
- On-demand access for 12 months to the library of interactive sessions & e-learning course
- Open to any full or part-time teacher employed in an educational institution (includes Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) and those training to be a teacher)
- Minimum 50 teachers per school (Please discuss with us if this is not possible due to your total teacher numbers)

Do you qualify to enroll for the Certificate
Candidates need to:
- Be in full or part-time teaching and employed in an educational institution (includes Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) and those training to be a teacher)
- Be taking part in some or all of the daily teaching activities: planning, teaching and formatively assessing learners
The Entry Level Qualification
The Entry Level Qualification comprises a series of mini modules related to practice
- Exploring teaching and learning with digital technologies
PDQ Entry Level qualifications
- Designed to enable a school whose leaders are studying the CAIE Certificate/Diploma to bring the teachers along with them on the digital transformation journey
- Can be taken as a standalone course, or the first step on a Teachers journey to becoming a CAIE qualified Teacher in Teaching with Digital Technologies
- Based on the latest research and best practices in teaching, learning and leadership
- Interactive based. Candidates will take part in a series of interactive online sessions which will help them take the first steps in using digital technologies & apps
- Designed to help candidates develop their use of digital technologies and apps with expert guidance and support
Course Length
The course is completed within a single academic year. The course requires teachers to complete 6 hours of learning, with a balance of:
- On-demand interactive learning sessions : e.g., online guided learning sessions - 3 hours (6 x 30 min sessions)
- Individual study and learning: e.g., reading/research/discussion - 3 hours (self-paced online e-course with on-demand access for 12 months, to the library of online guided learning sessions)
The guided interactive learning sessions are presented by certified Cambridge PD programme leaders and internationally recognised guest education practitioners.
What you will learn
The Entry Level qualification in Teaching with Digital Technologies enables candidates to:
- understand principles, concepts and issues concerning the use of digital technologies to support learning
- consider how and why digital technologies may be used to support their students’ learning and the challenges involved
- develop their ability to find and select appropriate digital technologies and related activities to support specific learning goals, and to engage and enthuse students
How is the Entry Level qualification assessed?
Candidates are assessed on the results of their completed e-course. The e-course is structured in such a way as to enable candidates to revisit their incorrect answers and with sign-posted guidance, improve on their responses. This ensures the learning is reinforced until the candidates are confident and demonstrate that they understand the relevant concepts & principles.

Candidates will be graded for this e-course according to the following criteria:
- Understanding teaching and learning with digital technologies
Awarding Certificate
To be awarded an Entry Level qualification, candidates must achieve a pass for the e-course.
